Civil marriages in Aruba must take place in the the historic Bureau Burgerlijke Stand (Civil Town House) in Oranjestad. Couples may make arrangements for blessing ceremonies following the civil marriage as they choose. | |

Marriage Requirements for Weddings in Aruba |
- Proof that you are single, with “apostil” seal that verifies the signatures on these documents
- Official copy of the bride's & groom's birth certificates (used to establish nationality, age & identify)
- For bride & groom, a state certified single status report (also referred to as negative statement of marriage or certificate of no impediment)
- Photo page from bride & groom passports
- Aruban weddings require two witnesses, 18 years of age or older
- Each witness must provide the photo page from their passport
- Marriage license agents may provide witnesses if needed
- For those previously married, provide the first & last page of your divorce decree(s)
- If widowed must provide copy of the death certificate
